Showing Support For YCC’s House of Hope and More

Kids in crisis have few places to turn for help when they need it most. Many of these children find themselves desperate and living on the streets. With help from the local community, the Youth Crisis Center is working to change this through community support for their newest project, House of Hope. JAX Refrigeration is proud to be a sponsoring member of the local village that will help children with basic needs including housing, counseling, life skills and career training. We are honored to contribute to this worthy cause in the memory of our Controller Angela Tennant’s nephew, Hunter Dudley. The 17-year-old was skateboarding when he was tragically hit and killed by a van.

Bagging Up Hope for the Holidays

It was all hands on deck as the JAX Refrigeration staff put some well-coordinated elbow grease into supporting a very special project for the Jim & Tabitha Furyk Foundation – helping pack and distribute 3,500 holiday food bags for those less fortunate in the Jacksonville area. The bags were distributed to other local nonprofits, like the First Coast Blessings in a Backpack.

Hoping (and Making!) Christmas Dreams Come True

Making dreams come true for a special child and his or her family through Dreams Come True is an annual tradition for JAX Refrigeration. This year’s Dreamer adoptee is Alicia, a 12-year-old diagnosed with Arnold Chiari malformation, along with her four siblings: John, Christian, Sarah and Chloe. We’ll be decking the halls when the family joins us as special guests of honor at our JAX company holiday party later this month. In January, we’ll be sure to feature photos revealing all of the magic and fairy dust surrounding their night to remember.

Through the Grapevine

You’ve probably already heard about how much we believe in our JAX Family – in the quality of our people, their values and hard work that help make our company great. But you don’t have to take our word for it, so check in here for the latest on what people are saying about us.

This special edition of Through the Grapevine comes from our Controller, Angela Tennant. Her 17-year-old nephew, Hunter Dudley, died tragically when he was hit by a van while skateboarding. In honor of his memory, JAX Refrigeration donated $1,000 to the Youth Crisis Center’s new House of Hope emergency shelter.
